Had a supernatural experience? Share your story!

I love ghost stories. I often prowl the Internet reading stories about people's encounters with ghosts, Big Foot, and aliens. Got a spine tingling tale to share that happened to you? Then gather around the campfire and tell your story, my dear fellow Alacrites! And remember, don't forget the hot dogs and the marshmallows.

And perhaps, I'll share a few of my own supernatural experiences. ;)

Also, this should go without saying but keep it appropriate and well within the site rules, obviously. XD

At my dad's old house (We lived above a church in San Francisco) There were a lot of ghosts. One was mean, and haunted one of the hallways in the church. One time, he actually pushed me. I felt hands grab my back and push my to the floor. I didn't see or hear anyone.
One time my grandparents went downstairs to lock up the church (They were the caretakers) and when my grandpa tried to open the door, he felt something push him back. He just couldn't walk through the doors. Something was stopping him. Later, he took my dad's rottweiler (My dad trained police dogs at the time, and had a pet rottweiler that was police trained) and went down into the church. He found obvious evidence that people had been in there using drugs, and he even found a knife on the floor. If he had gone in there, he would have been killed for sure.
There was also a very motherly presence there. I would be sad, and crying in my room, and I could feel a hand on my shoulder, and I would instantly feel better.

The scary thing about mine is that they're all 100% true. Real things i've seen in my house.
The first one is, one day I was waiting for my mom to finish cooking dinner. She saw my Doc. Martens laying on the kitchen floor, and told me to take them down to the basement (my room was in the basement at the time). As I was going through the hallway, i looked up the flight of stairs, and saw a glimpse of a white dress going into my grandmother's study. I have seen the lady in the dress multiple times, and people who come to my house have seen her standing in the dining room. My mom believes she is the ghost of the lady who used to live across the street, who committed suicide.

The second one, I saw in a shadow. It appeared to be a little boy, in a gray 1800's sailor suit (the one the little kids used to wear). Things around my house will turn up places we didn't put them, and my cat will attack the wall randomly like she's playing with something. We think it's the little boy playing with us. The creepier thing? He's followed my mom from house to house. My mom spoke of when she was pregnant with me, waking up in the middle of the night to someone saying "mommy, mommy." She thought it was my brother and woke my dad up. My dad didn't see anyone, and kept saying "Taylor's not there!" And my mom was seeing him at the foot of the bed. My mom never told me what that boy looked like, but when i asked if he looked to be from the 1800's and wearing a sailor suit, she said "How did you know?" and got kind of freaked out.

The third one, still terrifies me. I would be down in my room in the basement, and sitting on my bed. I wouldn't see anything, but something would growl in my ear. Or for no reason, i would just get really freaked out, like someone was there, and have to go bolting up the stairs. I think it's a man... but whoever it is freaks the crap out of me. My mom's sensed him too, going into her room. One time, she claimed that she felt him standing over her shoulder while she was on the computer, and breathing on her neck.

One time my mom told me that when she was little, her parents' room was in the basement, and her room was at the top of the stairs. She would want to go down at night, and sleep in her parent's room, but when she reached the stairs, in the dark, there was a giant pink bear, that would dance around. She said that it would speak to her telepathically. "Come play with me!" It would say. She said that she wouldn't want to go down with it, but she would watch the bear dance. It never tried to come up the stairs.
She told me that when i was about 2, i said that there was a black wolf outside the window that wanted to come in. My mom's friend saw the same thing when she was about 6.
Also, one time, when my mom was about my age, she came home from school. All the doors, windows, drawers, cupboards, anything that could be opened were open. She called the police, and nothing was missing. She still doesn't know what happened. My mom admits to have played with a Ouija board when she was a teen, in the same house we live in now...
I've had some freaky dreams, that depict real future events, does that count as a creepy story??

I normally dream of random anime characters, wolves, unicorns and rainbows, you know, normal stuff. But every now and again i'll have a dream of real life, me waking up, going to school...

Well one day i had a dream that my mom was driving me home from school (i asumed because i had my school bag at my feet and we were talking about my day) when we drove past this 3 way intersection and there was a car accident! Nothing severe, just dented hoods, bumpers, and when i woke up mom drove me to school and i told her about it. She dismissed it as a dream.

A few weeks later, sure enough were driving past the 3 way intersection and there was the same car wreck from my dream! That creeped mom out big time, all i said was told you so xD

I saw the death angel once.. ya know, the hooded person with the cycle. I was laying in bed, and all of a sudden, it appeared out of nowhere and started moving towards me. I blinked my eyes and rubbed them, trying to make sure it wasn't just shadows or something, but it wasn't. I screamed. My mom came running. As soon as the lights were flicked on, it disappeared. I cried. It was very traumatic.

And now that I've just typed that out at 2 in the morning my time, I will have THE hardest time going to sleep. I'm gonna have a nightmare. ><

*chews marshmallows*

ooo Creepy topic! I don't do scary cause it's...scary. And I have a crazy imagination that runs away with everything.. heh...

That's a really cool story Talespin. And quite creepy, but at the same time it's something I'd love to experience (so long as there was a quick exit nearby..haha!).

I do have a sort of thing that's stayed with my for many years.. It's not so much a ghost story as it is a dreamish something...or... Eh, I'll just tell it...

It happened a few years ago. I was probably about 13 or 14, and I was in a bit of an odd place. I wasn't depressed, but I was sad about something (I don't remember what exactly). It was probably just typical high school angst, but I was a tightly wound ball of anxiety. Anyway, I went to bed and had a rough night. I slept a little, but I spent most of the first few hours tossing and turning, alternating between a few minutes of sleep and a few minutes of lying awake worrying.

It was probably about 2 am or a little later. I remember being lightly asleep, and then getting a weird sense of something. I opened my eyes and blinked; it took a minute or two for my eyes to adjust to the darkness. When they did, I made out 5 shadows around my bed. Two on each side, and one at the foot. I was startled into complete consciousness, but I was afraid to move. They were kind of like your typical image of "death" with the black robes and hood, but they weren't carrying the scythes. They also weren't threatening me. It was like they were standing guard over me, or something. I felt almost safe with them. Whatever their reason for being there and no matter how much I felt like they were guarding me, it still gave me the creeps and I couldn't fall asleep again that night.

When I told my Dad, he told me that it was just a dream. But I'm not so sure about that. I've had real-feeling dreams before, and this wasn't like those.

*prances in with veg dawgs and pop rocks* Story time!

I have a few things that have happened to me. The most intense happened at my granma's place...we think her house was built on sacred grounds 'cause they've found arrowheads and such in the woods surrounding. Her house is secluded and surrounded with woods.

Anyway. The most intense experience I ever had there was when I was about 12 or so. We used to stay the night up there every Saturday when I was little, and I'd often take my cat Mytec along with us (my granma gave her to me so it was sort of like her home away from home too) Now, my granma has talked about seeing/hearing things up there A LOT. Everything from hearing whispers to feeling something 'sit' on her bed, to seeing a freaky shadow man sitting in the hallway. I personally always feel a little uneasy in that house, but especially in the basement.

We were leaving through the basement door one night. I had Mytec with me. All of a sudden she was TENSE, staring right into a dark side room that my granma uses for storage. She HISSED and FLEW from my arms, bolted up the stairs in pure terror. She had NEVER acted that way. When we went after her, she stood up on her back legs and SWATTED at us. She would NOT go back there. We had to go out from the upstairs door just to get her out to the car.

Turns out the very room she'd hissed at is the same that the ouija board and other weird things were played with in during the 60's.

My granma also saw a pure white kitten looking in through her window once, through a window that was physically impossible for any cat (or any animal) to get to. This particular sighting happened just about a week after her cat Alley went to the Rainbow...so, that one doesn't scare me as much. I think it's sweet.

Anyways, those are my random scary stories of randomness!
